Jo Martins

Jo Martins records from Portugal as a bilingual voice‑over artist in both Portuguese (European and Brazilian) and Spanish (Castilian and Latin American). His voice is classified as middle‑age tenor, and he applies it across commercial, e‑learning and explainer‑video productions as well as audioguide and documentary narration. Jo’s recent client work includes e‑learning for WPE in Latin‑American Spanish and voice‑over for brands such as Harley‑Davidson, Jaguar, Land Rover, Nissan, Toyota and Pfizer. Since 1998 Jo has operated his own professional recording studio. The setup features a Yamaha DM2000V2 digital mixing console, Yamaha NS10m and HS5 monitors, Mackie HR824 monitors, a Neumann TLM 103 and a Rode K2 tube microphone, and runs on a MacBook Pro 2019 and iMac 2020 with Logic Pro X and Final Cut X. He also has access to Apogee and Focusrite preamps for additional recording options. His background as a musician and record producer for ads dates back to 1992.
