Lara Askew

Lara Askew records from a treated home studio in the United Kingdom, using a Rode NT1 microphone, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, pop filter and mic stand. She trained for three years at London’s International Drama School, Rose Bruford College, where she focused on stage acting and voice work, and she has further studied voice‑over technique with the online platform Gravy for The Brain. Her voice is a Young Adult mezzo‑soprano, suited to a range of productions that include commercial spots, documentaries and audiobooks. Recent commercial deliveries include work for Be Gamble Aware, Maybelline, Radox, Talk to Frank, Hyundai and Amazon, while she has also provided voice‑over for Charity Learning Consortium, Isle of Wight Radio, Love Honey, Vialto and other projects. Lara’s portfolio highlights her ability to shift between narrative and promotional tones, and she continues to record both commercial and documentary pieces from her home studio.
